Ever since I was a little girl I have always loved Winter. I love the cold sharpness my body is exposed to as I run out of bed in the morning to turn on the heating. I love the subtle smell of vanilla in the evening, as the candle flames flicker in the corners of every room. I, especially, love the buzz around all the festivities. My favourite memories have always been cast in the Winter, which is why I am reluctant to see it coming to an end for another year. However, I don't think I will be the first to say that come to the end of winter my skin is in a diabolical state. It's dry, flakey and to be totally honest it looks completely lifeless. Which is why it is time to step up my skincare routine.

A good skincare routine can take years to perfect. I've been through numerous face creams, gallons of toner and a whole load of money, and yet I have a long way to go before I really nail my skincare routine. Nevertheless, I have come a long way from my early teenage years which pretty much consisted of running one baby wipe across my forehead each night before waking up and reapplying my make-up over the remains of yesterdays. It is safe to say that throughout my skincare evolution I have found some really good staples which I would love to share with you guys. So sit back and relax whilst I take you on a journey of cleansers, toners and everything in between.

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Purifying Cleansing Gel 200ml- £11- Buy here
First up is cleaner, in my opinion, one of the most important products in any skincare regime. I had only really heard of this brand last summer when I received a little sample of this cleanser in the post but since then I have never looked back. This cleanser works absolute wonders. It removes my make-up perfectly, as well as combatting any excess oils that I have, and believe me I have a lot. It leaves my skin feeling so clean and what's more, it smells incredible, it really is just a pleasure to use.

To apply it I simply wet my face whilst it has makeup on, apply a blob of the cleanser and massage it into my face. The cleanser will start to foam and your makeup will simply melt off. Once this is done you can either splash your face with lukewarm water or you can get a damp face cloth and wipe everything away. You can also use it on cleansing brushes, which I tend to do if I want a deeper clean or if my skin is being a little problematic. I really cannot recommend this cleanser enough and its small price tag means you can enjoy high-end results on a low budget.

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Clarifying Lotion 200ml- £11- Buy here
In addition to the cleanser, I have also been using the Clarifying Lotion. I use this as a toner, so once I have cleansed my face I will put some of this on a cotton pad and wipe it across my face. I have only used this product for just over a month but I can honestly say it has made such a difference to my skin. It brightens and tightens my skin as well as helping with those pesky break-outs. Like the cleanser, it also helps combat excess oils, leaving my skin feeling cleansed and toned. I would recommend this to anyone with oily skin, however, the amount of alcohol present in this product is likely to cause a bit of irritation to those with dry skin, in which case I would go for a more oil based toner.

Aloe Pura Organic Aloe Vera Gel 200ml- £4.85- Buy here
Peaches, my fiancee, is really into her skincare research at the minute and it's obviously working for her because her skin is looking better than ever. So the other week when P read an article on the benefits of aloe vera and ordered herself some, I couldn't help but follow suit. The benefits of Aloe vera are never ending but just to name a few-
  • It helps prevent wrinkles and tightens the skin
  • It soothes and revitalises skin
  • It's odourless
  • It easily absorbs into the skin
  • It works as a natural moisturiser, softening the skin without clogging pores
  • It great for those with acne prone skin as it works as a natural remedy
  • It reduces acne scarring, as well as redness and inflammation caused by acne
  • It restores dry and damaged skin
  • It can be applied to stretch marks, scars and skin irritations to reduce their appearance

This brand uses 100% organic aloe vera, with a selection of natural extracts. Therefore, there are no harsh chemicals in it that will irritate you skin, making this perfect for all skin types. I use this every night before moisturising, just after I have cleansed and toned my skin as I find that works best for me. I also keep it in the fridge so it's nice and cool when I apply it, this also preserves all its natural goodness. This product proves that sometimes it's not all about the brand name and fancy packaging, because this little treasure has really made such a difference to my skin. If I haven't already persuaded you, you can pick it up for under £5, making it perfect for all budgets. It also lasts forever, we've had it for a few weeks now and have barely made a dent in it. I cannot recommend introducing aloe vera into your skin care routine enough.

Care Witch Hazel 200ml- £2.59- Buy here
Another natural product which may not look pretty on your bathroom side is witch hazel. Despite its displeasing aesthetics, witch hazel is skincare gold. It has some amazing benefits. I feel like this is a staple which should be in everyone's bathroom cabinet. This little gem has been used for centuries as a natural remedy for acne, excess oils, dry skin and eczema, making it perfect for every skin type. You might be thinking that this is too good to be true, a product which reduces oils but that can also be used on dry skin, surely not but it's true. Witch hazel is a natural astringent so it decreases oils and bacteria growth, whilst balancing the skin's PH levels so rather than leaving you with dry skin it will ensure your skin has the correct amount of moisture. To apply it you simply put some on a cotton pad,  wipe it over your face, and your skin should instantly feel smoother and tighter. It is also advised that you use witch hazel just after showering because it will help seal in moisture. Typically, I run out a few days ago and haven't got round to purchasing some more so I couldn't take a picture of the one I use, however, I have linked it above.

Simple Kind to Skin Hydrating Light Moisturiser 125ml- £4.19- Buy here
I cannot stress enough the importance of moisturising, I know too many girls who just don't do it. For me, moisturising is the key ingredient to any skincare regime, especially in those winter months. I remember when I was a little girl my Great Nana Eva always used to use Nivea face cream. Even at the age of 92 her skin felt marvellous, it was so soft and youthful. I remember always wishing to have skin like that when I was her age, so it goes without saying that my usual moisturiser is Nivea, which I so highly recommend. However, I was kindly gifted this Simple Moisturiser at Christmas and I have to say I think I may have found my runner up. I love this moisturiser so much, it makes my skin feel so soft, without it feeling heavy or greasy on my skin.

Unfortunately, there's a myth surrounding moisturisers, that they will contribute to excess oils and as a result will cause acne and a build up of pores but that couldn't be further from the truth. Whether you have dry skin or oily skin, moisturiser is a must! There are so many benefits to moisturising including reduced signs of wrinkles, maintaining the elasticity in your skin but most importantly keeping your skin hydrated. Granted, certain moisturisers are better for different skin types. In terms of the two I have already mentioned, I would say that Nivea is much more suited to those with dry skin because it does offer such intense moisture. Whereas, the Simple moisturiser is great for those who have oily skin because it is very light. Either way, both are great options and prove that a good moisturiser doesn't have to break the bank.

Nivea Essential Care Lip Balm 4.8g- £1.65- Buy here
My final two ingredients to a perfect skin care regime are totally optional but in my opinion necessary. The first is lip balm, I don't know why but recently I have gotten into the habit of applying lip balm before I go to sleep. I have found that it makes the world of difference in the morning, and can I just say there's nothing better than waking up with soft, supple lips. I am loving this Nivea lip balm at the minute, it has no thrills or fancy flavours but its everything you need in a lip balm. It's conditioning, leaving your lips feeling so moisturised. I also appreciate that it doesn't have an artificial strawberry-like smell to it as most lip balms do, instead, it has a real clean and spa-like scent. For a mere £1.65, there really is no reason for this product not to have a space on your bedside table.

L'Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream 30ml- £8- Buy here
Last but not least is hand cream, I know what you're thinking who has time for hand cream. Well, this is only a recent addition to my skincare routine and I can already see what a difference it's making. I have never really suffered from dry skin until this past year, and when I do I only tend to get it on one hand (weird I know) but every so often my dry skin makes an appearance, so I decided it was time to find a good hand cream. After numerous fruity flavoured, sickly sweet greasy hand creams, I finally found the perfect one. I love any of the famous L'Occitane scents so I knew that an artificial smell wasn't going to be an issue. What I never expected, however, was the instant results I would see after using this. It makes my hands and cuticles feel so amazingly soft and moisturised. More importantly, it doesn't leave that greasy feeling behind which always puts me off hand creams, rather it soaks into your hands leaving them feeling marvellous. Admittedly, it is on the pricey side but a little bit really does go a long way and the price tag is completely justified given the results.

So that's it my skincare staples, if you have enjoyed reading this post then please do let me know because I was gifted a huge No7 skincare bundle for Christmas which I would love to review for you if that's something you would want. Also, please do leave any skincare recommendations you have below because I am always on the hunt for some new products to try out. I'm also currently looking for a good eye cream to help get rid of my under eye bags and wrinkles so if you know of any such miracle products then help a girl out and leave your suggestions in the comments below. Thank you for reading, as always!

Before I start telling you all about the amazing LPP Event I attended on Sunday I should probably warn you that this post is going to be a long one, so grab yourself a cup of tea and find yourself a comfy chair.

The Liverpool Period Project is an event that was set up by the lovely Alisha Valerie and Samantha  (Sabre Beauty). Now before I tell you about what a wonderful time we all had, which we did, I should start with the important stuff, the reasons behind the event. The event was set up for an amazing cause, which was to raise as much money as we could to buy sanitary items which were then being donated to The Whitechapel Centre, here in Liverpool. As I'm sure all you girls will agree that none of us ever enjoy our time of the month and at times it can be a big inconvenience. However, other than a few cramps here and there and having to postpone the white dress you so wanted to wear at the weekend, we can usually survive it with a quick trip to the shop to buy some tampons and a whole load of chocolate. Now, imagine if you didn't have the money to buy these basic health care items, it starts to become a whole lot worse. This is something that until these past few weeks I hadn't  really thought about, due to my own ignorance, however I have been thinking about it a lot recently and it's heartbreaking. I can only imagine that to homeless women the time of the month is a daunting event that they have to dread every month. I can't quite believe that even today free sanitary items aren't available for homeless women but its something that is yet to be offered. These women cannot afford basic necessities, resulting in them sometimes having to steal the products that can I remind you is a NEED. Its not a luxury or a want, sanitary items are a basic human need. The cause really touched my heart and opened my eyes, it showed me that something really must be done! This event was just one step in the right direction to help all these women. Everyone that attended the event brought lots of sanitary items with them and it was astounding the amount that was donated. Money was also raised throughout the day which was then being used to buy more sanitary items. It really was a great result. The company that sponsored this event was the wonderful Professional Beauty, and I really must salute them for supporting such a wonderful cause. So...Thank you so much Samantha, Alisha and Professional Beauty.

The event was held in Dough Bar, which I will definitely be revisiting. The decor was super casual and fun, and the place was decked out with vintage games machines, which was definitely a blast from the past. If video games aren't your kind of thing then they also have an impeccable range of board games and who doesn't love a good board game! The staff were all super friendly and even joined in on some of the fun, which really put everyone at ease and let us bloggers enjoy our blogging fun. The cocktails were phenomenal especially the Apple Martini, and I can honestly say that Dough Bar do the best pizza in the whole of Liverpool, which is a big statement for me to make I can assure you. As well as pizzas we also had curly fries, sweet potato fries, normal fries and a range of different salads. Its safe to say that by the end of it I was full to the brim! It is honestly the most perfect place to hang out with friends and I couldn't recommend it enough. What's more is that it is so cheap, I mean £3 for a cocktail, its much better than the £8 that I pay way too often. If I have tempted you enough and you want to check out this place for yourself it is on Hilbre Street, across the road from Liverpool Lime Street station.

Now as for the actual event, I will start by saying that I was SO nervous before hand. This was my first ever bloggers event and I just didn't know what to expect. I get so anxious about meeting new people but I decided the opportunity was very silly to pass up. I have decided that from now on I must start saying "yes" more, and push myself to do things I haven't done before. Honestly, I had no reason to worry as this was the most perfect day from start to finish. Alisha and Samantha were both the perfect people to organise this event. They both made us all feel welcome and relaxed, and ensured that they were on hand to answer all our questions before the event. Not to mention that they managed to chat to every single one of us at the event and take time to speak to each person individually, which I hadn't expected considering the level of stress I can imagine it takes to run a bloggers event, nevertheless they were the perfect hosts. Something that I really do think helped everyone who was feeling a little nervous for this event was that the girls set up a Whatsapp group a few weeks before the event which allowed everyone to get to know each other and gave us a place to ask questions and just generally chit chat. If you are organising an event any time soon I really do recommend a group chat, it just makes everything a little more reassuring for everyone attending. Both Samantha and Alisha organised the day excellently and scheduled it perfectly. The schedule gave us time to chat to each other, eat and even play games. The games that they organised were super fun and there was amazing prizes to be won. We played pass the parcel, a great quiz (FYI-I am a quiz enthusiast!) and a game called What's in Your Bag and coming joint second I have decided that I definitely need to downsize my handbag. We also had a raffle and all the money raised from the tickets was used to buy more sanitary items. There was so many amazing prizes on offer and whats even better is that everyone who attended won at least two things. I won a meal for four at a Chinese buffet, some hair extensions and a ticket for four to any event at Zanzibar in Liverpool. I was so lucky and its safe to say my Fiancee was super happy when I got home and told her I could take her for free Chinese food.

So many wonderful brands were involved with the event including The Body Shop. The lady who came on behalf of them was called Michelle and she was so lovely. She held a few competitions, one of which I won and was awarded a free facial for myself and up to 5 friends which I cannot wait for. She also did some really fun games with us, one of which involved us drawing on our heads and the other involved us making dresses out of black bin bags. It was so funny and such a good fun. Michelle set up the most beautiful display at the event, and let everyone have a go of different lotions and potions, as well as leaving a whole load of samples on our tables which we could take home and try out. It really was a perfect brand to have at the event.

Another company that got involved in the day was Teardrop, who make the most beautiful bracelets and necklaces. The concept is that you buy a bracelet, make a wish and put it on and eventually when the string of the bracelet breaks your wish comes true. The idea behind it is so magical and they make the most perfect gift. Each bracelet has its very own saying on the packaging which is inspired by the charm on the bracelet, making them all individual and super quirky. You can also have made to order pieces which I think is just a great idea for those who want to gift something a little more personal. Whats even more amazing is that Teardrop actually designed bracelets specifically for this event which was great because it meant we all had a little souvenir to remember the day by. The LPP bracelets have a little heart charm on and are super beautiful. They were only £3 and all the money raised from the LPP bracelets was so generously donated to Whitechapel as well. Please check out their website because I promise the bracelets are so gorgeous and as I say they make the most perfect gift.

The final brand was Merumaya, which is a brand whose tag line is #beautyhasnoage. The company aims to unite every woman who has ever felt insecure about her looks and encourages us to support and compliment one another, so together we can all feel confident and beautiful. At the event we were played a video which I will link here and honestly that video really hit home to me and I have since watched it around 5 times. I think everything that this company stands for is really quite inspiring and important for us all to remember. We often as a society pair beauty with this idea of youth and age, and that is something that really must stop because I do agree that beauty has no age. Every generation has its own beauty and I think that this is a message that we should spread. So if you want to get involved with this brand then you can do so. Merumaya has asked that everyone take a selfie and post it on any social networking site with the hashtag #beautyhasnoage. So please I ask all my followers to give it a go and help spread such an important message. Merumaya also very kindly gave us all some samples, including a Toner, Beauty Oil and a Mud Mask. I cannot wait to try this brand out and let you all know what I think.

At the end of the event everyone was given a goody bag, which was huge (and super heavy might I add). I was so overwhelmed and grateful. Having had not been to any bloggers event before I hadn't expected to be given so many things especially considering all the amazing prizes that were on offer throughout the day. I was shocked and it honestly felt like it was Christmas. I am not going to go on too much about the contents inside the goody bag in this blog post because I am going to be posting a video on my YouTube channel (Modebeautex), where I will be showing you absolutely everything I got as well as testing out some of the products. However, I will briefly tell you some of the things I was very generously given as well as leave some pictures of everything below. I will also posting more blog posts reviewing some of the items I was given, so please keep a look out for those.

The first thing I came across when excitedly rooting through my goody bag was a subscription box from the company Pink Parcel, which is basically a box which you get sent through the post monthly, whenever its your time of the month. The whole idea behind it is super fun and I do think that come the time of the month receiving one of these would really cheer any girl up and make those dreaded 5 days just a little easier. I love the look of these boxes, they are super simply and aesthetically very appealing. My favourite thing however was that inside the box were 4 little boxes and a draw string bag. The boxes were labelled "for down there", "for later" and "for you", and  bag was labelled "for now". I just think this made the whole box super organised and a little more exciting to look through, much better that the subscription boxes that just seem to throw everything into a box and hope that by the time they make it us they aren't a complete disaster. The bag and 2 of the boxes were full of the essentials...tampons. The third box had little femfresh wipes in which I thought was a great idea and finally, the most exciting box was the one labelled "for you". Inside was a whole array of exciting things which I just couldn't wait to try out, including-

  • True Brit London Nail Polish- these retail for £12.50 so already the subscription box is cheaper than this alone and it came in a lovely off-white shade.
  • Cougar Perfect Pout Lipgloss
  • Badger Sleep Balm- which I cannot wait to try out!
  • Simple Kind to Skin Soothing Toner
  • A Lottie London Blending Brush
  • Gourmet Fudge from the Fudge Kitchen- which can I just say is the cutest thing ever and it is packaged so beautifully.
  • An English Tea Shop Tea Bag- this is in the flavour Organic Chocolate Rooibos & Vanilla, which sounds incredible so I'm super excited to taste it.
  • Rococo Bee Bar Chocolate Bar- this comes in my favourite flavour of all time Honeycomb Crunch, which lets be honest sounds incredible.

I think that these boxes are so cute and I would definitely recommend it for those who have a little extra cash to make their time of the month a little more enjoyable and exciting. They retail for £10.50 a month, so its a great deal and you save a lot on the products inside.

The next thing in my LPP goody bag was two packs of Proper Corn popcorn which I have never tried but I have heard taste amazing. I got the flavours Sweet & Salty, and Lightly Sea Salted. It seems that this 'healthy eating' of mine is out the window because I also received some sweets in my goody bag including Love Hearts, Drumstick Squashies and Bon Bons. Finally, we also got a chocolate bar from the Chocolate Cellar, which came in the flavour Rose & Kashmiri Chilli. So tonight I will definitely be having a feast in front of the TV.

As well as stocking up my fridge I will also be able to update my skin care regime because I received so many amazing products. Derma V10 kindly gave us some Body Butter in the scent Coconut & Sweet Lime and OMG it is the nicest, summery scent I have EVER smelt! As well as that they also gave us some Deep Cleansing Nose Strips which again is another product I have never ever tried, and some permanent hair dye. However, the most exciting thing from Derma V10 is the Make-Off Mitt. This is basically a mitt that cleans off your make up simply by adding water. You can reuse them time and time again and its meant to just remove all your make up with ease. How exciting and easy does that sound, finally a product which allows me to be lazy with my skin care. I will definitely be writing a review blog post on this so please do keep checking back on my blog for that. Kiehl's also gave us some samples. Now I am a sucker for packaging and honestly this packaging gets a huge thumbs up from me, very sleek and simple. Some of the samples inside were for men so I will give them to my dad and let him try them out, and I will let you know what he thinks of them. One of my favourite things I received in the whole of the goody bag was something which I have been wanting to try out for so long now, a Spectrum Brush. I have heard so many amazing things about these brushes so I'm excited that I can finally try them out for myself. But seriously how beautiful is this brush? It honestly looks like it belongs to a mermaid, I am obsessed.

We were all so lucky! Not only did we get beauty products and a whole load of food, we also got so many beautiful accessories. Firstly, we got a super fun coin purse from a brand I hadn't heard of before called Yoshi. They specialise in leather bags, purses and key rings, and they honestly have some really amazing things. The coin purse I got was retro style and came in a beautiful cream colour. As well as that I was also gifted a Yoshi key ring which says boom on it, it is so cute but not entirely my style so I think I will be giving that to a friend.

Not only did I receive one but two coin purses, the second one was from a brand called LYDC London, which I have actually purchased things from before. I am in love with this purse, it is so beautiful and definitely my style. It literally looks like it was made for me, so I will be using that for sure. I was also given two beautiful pairs of earrings including a rose pair which are so cute, and a little set of hearts which came in a metallic baby pink colour. They were made by the lovely brand This Material Culture, which I have since checked out and honestly they sell some gorgeous hand made pieces. However, my favourite piece of jewellery I received was a black necklace which has a little moon fairy charm on. I completely fell in love with this when I seen it and I know I will definitely be featuring it with some of my outfits. It is so quirky and different, and in my opinion really current.

I was given so many other bits and bobs including a whole load of discount codes, which I would love to go through in this blog post, however its getting super long and as I say I will be going through my goody bag in detail in a YouTube video. So please look out for that on my channel. I hope you liked this blog post. If you have been to any events recently let me know how it went in the comments below, I would love to know what you received in your goody bag as well. Thanks for reading lovelies, until next time.

Recently my hair has been completely dull and dry, to be quite honest it is driving me insane! I don't know what it is but my once sleek and silky long hair has turned into a combination of frizz and split ends. So when Peaches' came home the other day, gifts in hand, and presented me with the L'Occitane repairing shampoo I was so happy. It had only been a day since I had washed my hair and usually I put hair day off as much as I can but this time I jumped straight into the shower because I was so excited to try it. Firstly, I was so shocked at how much shampoo you actually get but then I realised Peaches' had bought the eco refill version. She did this because 1) it is definitely better value for money 2) a few days before I had dropped an expensive shower gel in the shower which caused it to crack and I moaned about it for a LONG time, so I think she was trying to avoid a repeat of that. Anyway, this is the 500 ml size and it cost £20.50, now I know to a lot of people that may not sound a lot of money but being a poor student I think its extortionate, which is why I think I had a lot of expectations for this shampoo.

Firstly, let me start by saying that this shampoo smells incredible, which I feel is a given with L'Occitane anyway. It smells like a spa, its very fresh and natural smelling, and just lovely. Secondly, when I began to work the product into my hair it lathered really well, having said that I have never been one to judge a shampoo by its lathering skill (although its worth mentioning because I know people that do). I found the product was actually a lot thinner than I thought it would be, which made me feel as though I needed a lot of product for it to do anything, especially with my thick mane of hair. As I've been using a lot of this product at a time I have to say it has run out VERY fast. When applying the product to my hair I felt like my hair just sucked it up straight away and it felt very drying. I love a moisturising shampoo as I have such  dry hair but I don't think that this shampoo helped matters at all. When I got out of the shower my hair felt very dry, crispy and knotty. I didn't like the feeling at all! I think I wanted to like this product a lot more than I did and for about a week I tried to convince myself I loved it but I just didn't. Although, the one thing I do love about this product is that my hair smelt amazing for days after using it. The scent lingered in my hair and I think a lot of cheaper brands don't have that effect but other than that it was just not good and it left my hair feeling dry and damaged. Definitely not something I would brand as a repairing shampoo.

So was it worth it? I don't think so, it was extremely disappointing especially considering the hefty price tag. I definitely think I will be sticking to my £1 usual, the Schwarzkopf Supersoft Ultimate Shine Superfruit shampoo. However, if you want to try out the L'Occitane shampoo for yourself, you can purchase it here.

If any of you follow my YouTube channel, you will have already seen my Ebay beauty finds video. However, due to a Twitter request I am also writing them in blog format for those who prefer a good read, as opposed to watching my ugly mug speak about what it is that I've been spending my money on. If you would however prefer to see the YouTube video I have posted, you can watch it here. If not, then sit back, relax, grab yourself a cuppa and prepare to be amazed.

Recently, I have been seeing Ebay beauty finds videos roaming around the YouTube world and I have become obsessed. At first I must admit it did seem a little bit iffy, beauty products and Ebay aren't a combo I would have usually put together. Nevertheless, I love make up and what's more I love cheap make up, so I decided to give it a whirl.

Most of the products I bought came from China, so if you do decide to order them please take into consideration that it will take a few weeks for them to arrive. Although, all of my products came within 3 weeks of ordering them, so it wasn't an unbearable amount of time. I also decided to make it a little extra challenging for myself and decided I was only going to order things that were £2 and under, including postage and packaging. I was so shocked that I managed to do it. If you do want to treat yourself to these little bargains then you can do, I will link each product as I mention it so that you can get it from the exact same seller that I did. I've had these products for a couple of weeks now but decided that I would try them out before I told you guys about them because I wanted to give my honest review of them. So lets get started girlies...

These are a favourite amongst the Ebay beauty finds videos, it seems everyone is loving these, so it only seems right that I ordered some to see if they really do live up to the hype. At first I was a little dubious, less than £2 for 12 lip liners, surely it was too good to be true but no I was wrong. It really is as good as it sounds, £1.88 for 12 creamy, pigmented lip liners which come in beautiful shades. Out of the 12 shades there is only 2 I probably wouldn't wear but other than that I love all the shades. I love how different all the shades are, making this an all year round set. I know no matter what season it is, what the weathers like, what I'm wearing or what event I am going to, there will be a shade that is perfect for it in this set. It really has it all. This also makes it perfect for people who are just starting out in make up, as a little beginner's kit. There's literally endless looks you can do with this set. I love Mac lip liners but I can honestly say I think that these are just as good. They are so pigmented and long lasting. They are also so creamy, making them really comfortable to wear. I did find that a few shades did come out quite scratchy when I first applied them and quite hard to apply but I just sharpened them to get the first coating off and then they were really easy to apply and well just...perfect. I cannot recommend these enough!

This is another favourite amongst the YouTuber's Ebay beauty finds. When this first turned up I was so shocked at how pretty the packaging is. When I say pretty I mean boring, black and sleek, which is what I love. It just didn't look cheap and tacky like I had expected it to. Now, as for the formula, it applies super creamy and it is really easy to apply and control. At first after applying this your lips feel really sticky and tacky, which I hate. However, this only last for around 5 minutes, after that you are left with a really creamy lipstick which feels lovely on the lips. I must admit it is quite heavy but thats not something I personally mind. It is also crazy how matte these lip crayons are, they are definitely more matte than mac lipsticks but at the same time they aren't drying at all. The pigmentation is out of this world, you literally need one swipe and it is completely opaque. I was a little worried that it would run out really fast but little did I know you can actually sharpen these so they will last ages. There are so many shades available and now that I have tried these lip crayons out I want one in every colour. After all, I can get all of them for the price of one high end lipstick. The only thing that I would say is quite tricky is that on Ebay sometimes the pictures aren't true to colour, which means the shade that turns up may not be the exact match of the ones on screen. However, they aren't that different and it is pretty much the same. Its just something to be aware of though when ordering these. For that reason I decided to buy a nude because there's no nude shade I am yet to not like so it just seemed like a safe bet. I got 008, which is this beautiful rosey brown shade, its very 90's which I am loving at the minute. As you can see by the swatch it is gorgeous. But hands down the best thing about this product is the staying power. I have never known anything like it, ever. You definitely don't have to bother reapplying this, it would probably last a week if you didn't wipe it off. Even after doing this swatch I washed my hands 3 times and it didn't budge one bit, it was still there completely opaque in all its glory. It does eventually come off but it takes a whole load of rubbing and make up remover. Overall, I recommend these lip crayons so much because once you get over the stickiness, they are incredible.

The next product I have to show you is this double ended brow pencil, and its honestly life changing. No, I'm not exaggerating. Since I have bought this I have actually enjoyed drawing on my eyebrows every morning, a task which I usually dread. It is so quick and easy and has cut my brow routine down to 30 seconds, something which used to take around 5 minutes. For a long time, I have been using a brown eyeshadow with an angle brush to apply my brows and although I loved the natural finish it gave, I found that my brows were looking a little messy and uneven. This little beauty however, has made me fall back in love with brow pencils. It offers so much precision and I think that this is down to the shape of the pencil, it comes in an angle brush style shape which means that you can really make your brows look exactly how you wish. This shape is such a massive improvement to the normal drawing pencil shape style as it offers so much control! Okay, so the packaging is nothing to write home about and it does look a little cheap but for its 99p price tag I can totally forgive that. The formula is creamy but not greasy, what I mean by that is once you apply it, the product doesn't slide like a lot of pencils do. Rather than it looking like a thin layer of brown product with hair sat on top of it, it looks as though its your actual eyebrow. Not to mention that when you do your eyebrows with this you are left with quite a thick formula which doesn't budge, which gets a thumbs up from me. The pigmentation is amazing, having said that it doesn't look like you've just took a sharpie to your face, they actually look super natural provided you don't press down really hard. Its also double ended, on the other end you get an eyebrow brush. This is great for brushing your brows in preparation to apply the product but also after you apply it just to brush the product in, making them look even more like your own brows and a little less harsh. The pencil also winds up so you get a lot of product, which will last you a good few months. If thats not enough, the company offer around 6 shades so there is definitely a colour for everyone. I know some high end brow pencils only come in three shades so I was actually really surprised with the colour selection of these. As an eyebrow fanatic I have to say I am obsessed with this product and I promise you that you will love it just as much as me.

Okay, so this is the only negative review in this blog post I promise. Although I do hate to be a negative Nora I do have to be honest with you guys and the truth is I hated this product. So much so that it went straight into the bin. Firstly, I have to be honest I don't actually know why I bought this in the first place because even when high end brands came out with these brushes they just didn't appeal to me. The concept is just not something that interested me. I love using beauty blenders and I just can't see any possible benefits to putting them on a brush handle?! Is it just me? Regardless of that, the actual quality of this brush is appalling. It is stuck on with cheap glue, and the beauty blender was already falling off as soon as it arrived. I know what you are thinking, 'What does she expect for 99p?' and I totally agree. Nevertheless, it was completely unstable. When it came to actually trying the product out I just felt I had no control at all with it, as opposed to simply holding the beauty blender. It was just extremely hard to use and eventually I just gave up and used an ordinary beauty blender. To conclude, don't bother!

OH MY GOD! Just stop everything you are doing, click the link and purchase this RIGHT NOW. I promise you won't regret it. Now let me tell you why...

I am usually a girl that dreads applying her base products, I find it hard work and extremely boring. I love creating a good smoky eye and perfecting a bold lip but base work is just one big yawn. That was until this little angel arrived in my postbox. This has  actually made me start to love applying my base coat. It has also cut the time I take to do my make up by 5 mins at least, it is just so quick and easy to use. I can honestly say that I've had so many high end, expensive foundation brushes before but nothing compares to this, hard to believe I know! It applies your make up flawlessly and evenly. What's more the actual brush is really good quality and actually looks stylish too. I cannot recommend this enough!

Side note: I don't know why but apparently choosing between two pictures of a sponge proves too hard, which is why I am treating you to two.

So this is another one of my favourites. This paired with the kabuki brush I have just mentioned is a match made in heaven. Between the two of them it has made my new make up routine revolutionary. This sponge just works perfectly after using the brush, it blends the foundation into my skin making it look so natural and flawless. It also sets my foundation so nicely, giving me the 'my skin but better' kinda look. I can often apply too much foundation thinking it will provide me with some extra coverage but as a result I can sometimes look cakey, however this sponge has changed all that for the better. It takes off all the excess foundation and leaves me with just the perfect amount. Goodbye cakey skin, hello flawless face. No but seriously it is amazing. The shape allows you to really get into all the nooks and crannies of your face which previous beauty blends I have owned have failed to do. Another must have, which I cannot recommend enough.

So thats it guys, my Ebay beauty finds, I really hope you have enjoyed this! If you have let me know because I would love to make some more as I am always on the bargain hunt for new beauty products. But for now I hope I have encouraged you to purchase some of this goodies.

As always, Thanks for reading my lovelies...
